Welcome to the new and exciting website designed by the Milton Keynes Arts Education Forum (MKAEF)
This easy to use site provides schools and practitioners with details of all our latest news and events including new projects to get involved in, training and work opportunities, links to useful arts education sites and lots of advice and guidance on setting up and organising arts activities in schools.
The MKAEF is currently the only arts education support network available to schools in the area and we hope that this site will prove to be a useful resource encouraging the sharing of good practice and offering support to schools wishing to engage in and co-ordinate arts activities.
NEW CPD PROGRAMME IN PRIMARY ART & DESIGN
The new 2010/11 primary art INSET programme is now available. Schools wishing to take part in programme need to book a place as soon as possible. Please see our news section for further information and details on how to register.
Case Study - Going Native
Children from Downs Barn First School enjoyed the first of a three -day Native Tribal project where they are exploring native cultures using story, music, drama and visual art. The day comprised building tepees, sharing stories, making costumes and celebrating new tribal names. Click on our Case Studies link for more about this .....
IDENTITY
In September we will be launching an exciting visual art exhibition/competition for Primary Schools on the theme of "Identity".
We will be co-ordinating a CPD session to support the theme which will give schools the opportunity to experiment with recycled materials
