The Creative and Media Diploma
Britain has a strong track record of creative output and over the last decade, our creative industries have grown at twice the rate of the economy as a whole and it is continuing to grow. If you want to be part of this exciting world, you need to have the ideas, the talent but also the skills and knowledge to turn these ideas into reality.
The Diploma in creative and media will allow students to learn valuable skills in different situations. Students will learn about the key themes in creativity and how to think and work creatively. This will include seeing a project through from start to finish, identifying an audience and their needs and learning about the business side of the creative and media industries.
The Diploma can be studied at three different levels, Foundation (GCSE equivalent is 5 at grades D-G) Higher (GCSE equivalent is 7 A* - C grades) Advanced ( A level equivalent 3.5 A levels)
The Diploma is made up of many components, Principal learning, Additional and specialist learning, Functional skills in English, Maths and IT, Personal learning and thinking skills (PLTS), 10 days compulsory work experience and finally the student project.
With a Diploma you can progress into Higher and further education, training or future employment within or outside the creative and media industries.
