Directed by Lise Olson

Mon 6 – Fri 17 June

Alex and The Winter Star is a story about friendship and what it means to belong.

In spite of Cat’s warnings, Alex asks his favourite computer game character to

come and visit. When the Warrior steps out of the screen with a large sword and

a lot of attitude, Alex begins to wonder what he’s let himself in for! The Warrior’s

deadly enemies, the Skarg, soon follow, trying to fit in as human beings in a

world they don’t really understand. The Skarg are intent on world domination,

but Alex, The Warrior and Cat, in an adventure filled with magic, adventure and

laughter, try to foil the plans of the Skarg before they reach their goal.

The Little Prince

Key Stages 1 and 2

Directed by Andrew Potter

Mon 13 – Fri 24 June

‘One sees clearly only with the heart.

What is essential is invisible to the

eye.’

After crash-landing in the Sahara, a

lone pilot struggles to repair his craft

before he runs out of water. His

efforts are interrupted by the arrival

of the Little Prince, a visitor from

another planet with a unique

perspective on … well, pretty much

everything! Antoine de

Saint-Exupery’s enduring fable about

rediscovered innocence poignantly

combines a whimsical narrative with

profound and idealistic observations

about life, love and human nature.

*Suitable for children of all ages and any grown-up who was once a child.

Folk Tails and Paws for Thought!

Key Stage 3

Directed by Louise Papillon

Mon 13 – Fri 24 June

‘How the birds got their colours’

‘How the leopard got its spots’

‘The Squirrel and the Hyena were neighbours’

‘The Elephant and his Slaves’

From Africa to Cambodia via India – indeed from all over the world come stories,

explaining how all things came about.

Through the animals – watch, listen and learn as they explore their magical world!

Some tales will make you think, some will make you laugh, some will make you

wonder, but almost all of them have hidden wisdom for you to discover!

The Merchant of Venice

Key Stages 3 and 4

Directed by David Vann

Mon 13 – Fri 24 June

The Merchant of Venice deals

with issues of young love, parental

control and racial prejudice.

We are offering an abridged

version of Shakespeare’s text;

students will have the chance to

explore these issues further in a

workshop session with the cast.

While no prior knowledge of the

play is required, it would be

useful for the group to familiar

with the plot before seeing this

workshop production.
